Creating a Sales Quote for a Mobile Device


The significant difference between using a standard price table in QuoteCloud and a Service Plan price table, is mainly the product library for phone systems.  This special extension to the product catalogue feature in QuoteCloud allows for custmised monthly payment plans, and automatically add in Service Plan Add-ons.

For example, 12 and 24 month contracts.  In this topic you will learn how the price table feature works when using the Mobile Device product library when creating quotes.


To begin this tutorial, first create a new sales quote and ensure you are on the price section in your new sales quote. 

Next click on the + Insert... button, and select the menu option Add Service Plan, as shown below.

Now you will see a Service Plan price table as show below:

Click on the + Service button (blue button).  This will add a Service Title to the price table (as shown below). Here you can type the Service Number (phone number), and a Service Title for the Service Plan, both these data fields are free format (so you can type whatever you like here in reality).


After typing your Service Number and Service Title information, and while hovering on the Service Number line item - you will see a green action menu icon on the left (as shown below).

Next click on the Add Plan menu option (as shown above), and you will be presented with the available Service Plans on the right side of the window, as shown below.

To add a Service Plan to your Service Price Table, simply double click, or click an item and drag it from the folder tree on the right on to your price table.

Your Service Plan will now appear in the price table as shown below.

The final step is to add the Mobile Devices available to sell for this Service Plan. 

To link a Mobile Device to your Service Plan, hover on the price line item for the Service Plan you have added to the price table, as shown below. 

You will notice a green box appear on the right of the line item, click on the green action menu and then click on the option Link Products.

After clicking on the Link Product menu option, a window will appear that lists the available mobile devices that can be sold for this Service Plan.  

If the list is long you can use the search feature in the top right corner to filter out items from the list. e.g. type iphone to view only the items that contain the term "iphone".

Click on the check box on the right of the item you want to add to your Service Plan and then click on the Done button to commit the selection.

You will now see your Mobile Device added to the Service Plan in your price table (as shown below).

You have now successfully created a Service Plan and linked a Mobile Device, continue to work on your sales quote (if needed) and when complete then click on the Save and Preview button to view and send to your customer.
